First Post

Welcome to our blog for our U.S. travel diaries.  We are a 4th grade class in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Our Social Studies curriculum focuses on U.S. geography. To help us learn about the people and places in our diverse country, we sent our travel diaries to visit as many cities as possible during this school year. If you received one of our diaries, we would love to hear how the journey is going.

Please write a Comment below this post as we love to get feedback!

Also, please take the time to fill out the Tracking Form.  You can find it under the tab at the top of the page.  We will use this data to update our map of the diaries.

You can check out the Map too! Just click on the tab at the top to view our latest map.

Thank you so much for sending us postcards!  Please check under the Postcards tab to see the map in our classroom tracking the states we have heard from so far.  Our students are writing Comments there about the postcards.   Please check back with us often!  Thanks again!

  3. Dear William and Classmates,
What a fun thing to find in our mailbox. We are excited to hear about all the places your travel diary goes. We love it here in sunny San Diego, California. There is lots to see and do every day. Thanks for letting us share about our new hometown! The Baiers (Matt, Melanie, and Marty)

  4. Maddie,
This is an awesome project, and a great way to become more familiar with parts of our country. Maybe now they will be more than just a dot on a map.
We love living in the Chicago region and take advantage of the countless cultural, sports, and restaurant venues. Just walking in the city or on the lake is enjoyable. If you get to the Windy City, please look us up. Jim & Anna
